Dr. Banks Brown joined Georgia Psychological in August 2022 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Prior to earning her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Howard University, a Master of Arts in Human Development from the University of Maryland—College Park, and a Master of Psychology from The George Washington University. Dr. Banks Brown has experience working in school-based and community mental health settings, as well as university counseling centers and private practice, where she gained clinical training in psychotherapy and psychological assessment. Within these settings, she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with varied diagnostic profiles, including depression, bereavement, anxiety, personality disorders, and complex trauma. Dr. Banks Brown's clinical interests include psychological assessment, mental health and educational disparities amongst marginalized groups, family systems, as well as interpersonal and social challenges.
